If you like to bake, the Bridgewater Fair has 5 different baking contests you can enter

In addition to local Bridgewater Fair contests, the Association of Connecticut Fairs, a state-wide umbrella organization, sponsors three baking contests at local fairs.  If you win a blue ribbon in one of these contests here in Bridgewater, you get to represent the Bridgewater Fair at the State contest at the association's meeting in October.
