All animals must be on the Fair Grounds no later than 9:00 am, Sunday.
Each yolk of oxen will receive $15.00 premium.
Categories and prize money
CLASS I - Over 2000 & under 2400 lbs.
Prize money for Class I:
1st - $155.00 2nd - $125.00 3rd - $100.00
4th - $80.00 5th - $70.00 6th - $60.00 7th - $50.00
CLASS II - Over 2400 & under 2800 lbs.
CLASS III - Over 2800 & under 3200 lbs.
CLASS IV - Over 3200 lbs.
Prize money for Class II, III, IV:
1st - $175.00 2nd - $150.00 3rd - $125.00
4th - $100.00 5th - $80.00 6th - $65.00 7th - $55.00
The rules governing Ox Drawing Contests are revised by the Connecticut Ox Owners & Drivers Association. In 2005 rule #34 was revised to read:
" Any situations that may arise and are not covered by these rules, the decision will be left to the discretion of the judges."
